Big Daddy

Sonny and Julian engaging in an emotional scene
Big Daddy is an American comedy directed by Dennis Dugan in 1999. The film stars Adam Sandler and The Sprouse Brothers.

Big Daddy is film about a thirty-two year old Sonny Koufax (Adam Sandler) who has spent his entire life avoiding responsibility. But when his girlfriend dumps him for an older man, he realizes he has to find a way to prove hes ready to grow up. In a desperate last attempt sonny adopts a five-year old Julian (Dylan and Cole Sprouse) to impress her. It is rated 12 as it contains moderate sexual references.

The love between the young Julian and Sonny is really vivid throughout the film, It gradually grows as the film progresses and you follow that throughout. We see Sonny turn from a law graduate with no job to a loving foster parent. Unfortunately he is not the biological father and did not legally adopt Julian as a result he is forced to give him back to his true father, however all is not lost and it is a happy ending Julians father is one of Sonnys close friends so the two still have a close bond and all is not lost. The film can having you in stitches of laughter or floods of tears within a matter of minutes. I recommend it as a must see everyone who loves an emotional story with a humor twist.
